Kekai A. Case
Kekai A. Case, 58, passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. An informal gathering will take place to celebrate her life on Saturday, July 13, 2013 from 7:00 until 8:30 PM at Abbey Funeral Home, 4037 N. Monroe Street, Tallahassee, FL 32303.
Kekai was born January 12, 1955, in Inglewood, California, to Abigail 'Ilima' Stone and Thomas Perkins. She worked at the Florida Department of Environmental Protection as a paralegal and recently was recognized as the statewide employee of the month. Kekai was a volunteer for the American Red Cross and as an avid dog lover, a member and supporter of the Pug Rescue Society. She was a long-time resident of Tallahassee and graduated from Florida State University. She was proud of her Hawaiian heritage and lived it every day.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include a significant other, Daniel Ethington; daughters, Heather Case and Lindsey Case; a son, Robby Altice; two grandchildren, Brady Kidd and Dawson Kidd, all of Tallahassee, FL; a brother, Randall Perkins and three rescued pug children, Frodo, Tia, and Ginger.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Pug Rescue of Florida (www.pugrescueofflorida.org) or the American Red Cross. Kekai was an organ donor.
