Campbell Jr., Dr. Clarence L.  
Dr. Clarence L. Campbell, Jr. Dr. Clarence L. Campbell, Jr., 93, of Tallahassee passed away on May 17, 2015 in his home. Dr. Campbell was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on September 24, 1921 to Clarence L. Campbell, Sr., and Louise Campbell. He received his early education in Sebring, FL. He attended pre-veterinary training at Florida Southern College and received his Veterinary Medicine Degree from Ohio State University. In June of 1950, Dr. Campbell married the love of his life, Dorothy Watford. Together they shared almost 65 years of marital bliss never leaving each other's side. They loved animals of all kinds and found joy in raising Arabian Horses on their farm in Tallahassee. He was employed by the State of Florida initially as a field Veterinarian with the Florida Livestock sanitary board and was appointed assistant State Veterinarian in 1948. In 1953 he was appointed to State Veterinarian and served in that capacity for 38 years until he retired in 1991. He holds the record of being the longest tenured State Veterinarian in the US. During his tenure with the State of Florida, Dr. Campbell was noted for his efforts to rid Florida of animal diseases and to prevent the introduction of foreign animal diseases into the state and the country. One of his most notable achievements was leading his team to the eradication of the cattle fever tick from Florida in 1961 and the screwworm in 1962. Dr. Campbell once served as President of the United States Animal Health Association. Dr. Campbell is survived by his wife, Dorothy Campbell; his nephews, Terry Macky, Gary Macky, Robert Harmon and Joe Rice; and his niece Carla Rice. No formal funeral services are planned however, the family invites you to a visitation today May 20, 2015 from 5-7 in the Dogwood room of Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home's Riggins Road Location. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Triple R Horse Rescue in Tallahassee in honor of Dr. Campbell.

Patricia Diane "Patsy" Smith Cauley Patricia Diane Smith Cauley (Patsy), age 72, of Tallahassee, FL passed away Monday, May 18, 2015 at the McLeod Hospice in Florence, SC. Mother of Joseph Daniel Cauley (Nancy) of MD; Kevin Terrence Cauley (Penny) of SC; and Christopher Patrick Cauley (Kathy) of FL; grandmother of Erin, Ryan, Brendan, Conor, Sean, Grace, Angela and Katie; and sister of Joseph D. Smith, Jr. of NY. She was predeceased by her parents Joseph D. Smith and Marjorie B. Smith of Tallahassee. Patsy was a rural letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service until her retirement in 1996. The funeral will be held at 3 pm on June 5, at the Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 700 Timberlane Road, Tallahassee, FL 32312. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the McLeod Hospice, 1203 E Cheves St, Florence, SC 29506.

Gertrude "Red" Clark Gertrude Andrews Clark, 73, affectionately known as "Red" of Tallahassee's Miccosukee Community passed unexpectedly at home on Friday, May 15, 2015. Funeral services are 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul Primitive Baptist, Miccosukee, with burial in Old Union Cemetery. Viewing visitation is 3-7 p.m. Friday at TILLMAN OF MONTICELLO (850) 997-5553. A lifelong Miccosukee resident, she was a homemaker and a 50-year plus member of St. Paul where she sang in the Choir and served on the Pastor's Aide Board. Her love and legacy will live on in the hearts of her five daughters, Helen (Curtis) Pye, Brenda Clemons, Allison Frazier, Latoya Williams and Monica Williams; two sons, Jeffrey Clark and Alton Woody; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, including her St. Paul Church family. She was predeceased by her husband, James Clark; parents, Lamb and Minnie Hart Andrews; brothers, George Henry Green, James, Lamb and Hendron Andrews and her sisters, Sally Green, Catherine McCoy, Marie Patterson, Hattie Herring and Priscilla Wilson.

Martha Virginia Runkle Crane Martha Virginia Runkle Crane, age 98, passed away on Friday, May 15, 2015 at Regents Park of Jacksonville. She was born in Chattahoochee, Fl. To William Abram Runkle and Victoria Estelle Philbrick Runkle on May 27, 1916. She worked in sales in the retail industry. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Chattahoochee, Fl.

Curlee, Jim  
Jim Curlee Jim Curlee of Crawfordville, FL died at home with his family, May 21, 2015. He was 77 years old. He was born May 1, 1938 in Buena Vista, GA. He joined the United States Air Force after high school and did basic training in Texas. During his 26 years in the Air Force, he was stationed at Scott Air Force Base St. Clair County, IL, Air Force Academy Colorado Springs, CO, Tyndall Air Force Base Panama City, FL, Robins Air Force Base Warner Robins, GA, Hahn Air Base West Germany, Thailand and moved to Crawfordville in 1985. He retired from Wakulla County Property Appraisers office after 16 ½ years. He attended New Life Ministries & Medart Assembly of God and was a member of the VFW Post 4538. He is survived by his wife Diane Curlee, the love of his life. Three daughters, Suzanne "Miki" Joyner (Al) of Grand Ridge, FL, Tracey Hernandez of Lynn Haven, FL, Pam Fox (Dwayne) of Crawfordville. Four sons, Mark Prepelka (Kris) of Lynn Haven, FL, Todd, Donald & Troy Hale of Tallahassee. Two sisters, Linda Gallops of Schley County, GA and Beatrice Cook of Buena Vista, GA. One brother, Bobby Curlee of Cordele, GA. 20 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents Ennis & Merle Curlee and brothers, Benny Curlee & James Curlee. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Big Bend Hospice. The family will receive friends Sunday, May 24, 2015 at Good News Assembly of God 2028 Bloxham Cutoff Rd., Crawfordville, from 2:00-2:30 pm.
