Catherine Stubbs Obituary

Catherine H. Stubbs Catherine H. Stubbs (Nell), of Tallahassee, Florida, passed away Monday, October 19, 2009, at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. She was born April 13, 1917, in Tampa, FL, and lived many years in Jacksonville before moving to Tallahassee. She was preceded in death by her husband, Philip H. Stubbs, Sr. She leaves to mourn her death her sister, Dorothy Cascone (Mike); a son, Philip H. Stubbs, Jr. (Dreme); daughter, Gail Hart (Monty); five grandchildren, Pamela Gail Stubbs, Jason M. Hart, Lance M. Hart (Michelle), Keely S. Hart and Tanner Hart (Krystal); two great-grandchildren, Elle and Hayley Hart; three stepgrandchildren, Barbara Blalock (Ricky), Christie Carter (Darrell) and Robert Hodges; five stepgreat- grandchildren; her former daughter-in-law, Nell Walker; and many nieces, nephews and friends. A Mass will be celebrated at St. Matthews Catholic Church, 1777 Blanding Blvd., Jacksonville, at 11 a.m. EDT today, October 23, with Father Luke McLoughlin as celebrant. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church. Burial will follow at Jacksonville Memory Gardens, Orange Park, FL. Donations may be made in Catherine's honor to her great-granddaughter, Hayley J. Hart, currently receiving treatment for leukemia. Please make donations to: Envision Credit Union, P.O.
