Douglas James Black, 75, of Havana, died on Sunday, September 8, 2013, in Tallahassee. He was a member of St. Mary Missionary Baptist Church. Service will be 2:30 PM Saturday, September 14, 2013 at The National Guard Armory in Quincy with burial in the Memory Gardens in Tallahassee. ). He is survived by his wife, Nettie Thomas Black of Havana; sons, Frederick Black and Delbert L. Black, both of Quincy; brothers, Lester A. Black (Barbara) and Edwin J. Black (Bernice), both of Quincy; sister, Earnestine Black Evans of Detroit, MI; godson, Kenneth McCloud of Quincy; special sons, Danny White (Phyllis) and Eddie Knight, both of Quincy; special niece, Jeanita Black Johnson (Sidney) of Quincy' brother-in-law, Lamar Thomas Jr., of Havana; sisters-in-law, Gussie Black of Havana, Dorothy T. Williams of Augusta, GA, Bernice T. Hackley of Havana, Rosa T. Perry of Havana, Girsie T. Johnson (Albert) of Tallahassee and Sarah T. Simmons (Willie C.) of McCrayville, GA. He is also survived by three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
