Isham Anderson Ii


Isham Lafayette "Ike" Anderson, Jr., 59, of Monticello, passed away October 15, after a brief illness. The family will have a service at a later date. He was a graduate of Jefferson County High School, North Florida Community College, and Florida State University, and was a member of Christ Episcopal Church, in Monticello. He was retired from the State of Florida, serving most recently as an arson investigator with the Fire Marshal's Office. From an early age, Ike was interested in pursuing a career in law enforcement and public safety, beginning his employment as a dispatcher with the Monticello Police Department and the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office. He also served as an ambulance driver and a municipal police officer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Isham Lafayette Anderson, Sr., and Mary Catherine Duff Anderson. He is survived by two brothers, Joseph Duff Anderson (wife, Stephanie), of Tallahassee, and Sheffield Ayers Anderson, of Monticello, a nephew, two nieces, many cousins, and other relatives and friends.
