Jack Delaney Alderson Jack Delaney Alderson, 86, who had retired from the Federal Aviation Agency as chief of the control tower at the Tallahassee Airport, died Monday, Dec. 23, 2002, in Longwood. The service will be at 10 a.m. EST Monday at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, Timberlane Road Chapel (877-8191), with burial at Culley's MeadowWood Memorial Park. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. EST Sunday at the funeral home, Riggins Road Chapel. Pallbearers will be Bert Kelly, Todd Cooper, Tom Alderson, Billy Cooper and Joshua Perry. A resident of Tallahassee for 58 years, he was born in Norton, Va., and graduated from Milligan College. Survivors include a son, Tom Alderson (and wife Pat) of Longwood; a daughter, Molly Anne Jordache of Orlando; a sister, Mildred Poston of Bedford, Va.; a stepson, Billy Cooper (and wife Patsy) of Rome, Ga.; four grandchildren, Susan Alderson, Bonnie McCollum, Sherri Cohen and Brenda Sapp; three great-grandchildren, Levi McCollum, Mackenzie Cohen and Victoria McCollum; two stepgrandchildren, Christi Cates and Todd Cooper; and two step-great-grandchildren, Anna Katherine Cates and Cooper Cates.
