Janet C. Blomeley, 79, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 in Tallahassee, FL.

She was born in Millport, AL and raised in Birmingham, AL , the youngest of 8 siblings, to John Carlisle & Maude Pearl Chandler. She was the widow of Earl J. Blomeley, who passed in June 1984. Janet was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, who had a deep Christian faith. Janet lived in Tallahassee for the last 38 years and was a devoted member of the Killearn United Methodist Church and the Killearn Ladies Club. Janet was primarily a homemaker, but also worked as a Legislative Secretary for several years. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and playing Mexican Train dominos, with both friends and family.

Janet is survived by her sister Rose Weeks of Montgomery, AL; her son Jeff Blomeley his wife Joy, granddaughter Macy (23) and grandson Josh (20); son Greg Blomeley (Tracy) and granddaughter Emily (14) and son Lance Blomeley and granddaughter Karli (11) and granddaughter Kolbi (8), all of Tallahassee, FL. Visitation with the family and friends will be held on Sunday from 5pm to 7pm at Culley's MeadowWood, 700 Timberlane Road, and services will be held on Monday at 2pm, also at Culley's MeadowWood on Timberlane Road.
