John Condra, 87, of Tallahassee passed on Saturday evening, July 26, 2014, at Miracle Hill Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, surrounded by his loving wife and family. A Tallahassee native, John was a 20-year veteran of the United States Navy
. He had been a chef at the following restaurants: Brown Derby, Manny's and Mom & Dad's. He was a devoted member of Bethel AME Church. Funeral services will be 12 noon Monday, August 4, at Bethel, with the Reverend Dr. Julius H. McAllister, Jr., officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Viewing-visitation is 2-6 p.m. Sunday (today) at TILLMAN OF TALLAHASSEE (850) 942-1950.
Treasuring his love and legacy are his devoted wife, Kate Warren Condra; sons, Ventura Condra, Jerome (Trina) Condra and Robert Richardson; daughters, Collita (Craig) Marshall and Deborah R. (Sidney) Smith; along with several grand and great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives and loving friends. Other than his parents, Mr. Condra was also predeceased by his sister, Lucille McKinney.
