Joseph Deciano

Joseph "Joe D." Deciano, 82, passed away Thursday, November 28, 2013 at his residence. Funeral service will be held 10:00 am Monday, Dec. 2nd at St. Louis Catholic Church with interment to follow in Tallahassee Memory Gardens. Family will receive friends from 3 to 5 pm Sunday December 1st in Abbey Funeral Home, 4037 N. Monroe St. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Project Inc., 301 East Tharpe St., Tallahassee, Fl., 32303.

Born In Marlboro, NY, Joe made Tallahassee his home in 1980. He was a Navy Veteran of the Korean Conflict. Joe was a retired mechanic from McKenzie Tank Lines. He was an active member of St. Louis Catholic Church and an honorary member of Riverside Baptist Church in Havana. Other memberships include Cross Trail Sam's Camping Group and Capital City Square Dance Group.

Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Margaret A. Deciano; his children; Joseph Deciano, Jr. Nancy VanValkenburgh, April Davidoff, Kimberly Ballister, Tracy Deciano, Richard Robinson and Dornell Hunt; 12 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; two sisters; Annie Amodeo and Millie Saddler, and foster brother, Joseph R. Malone. He is also survived by many friends.
