First Central Missionary Baptist Association Moderator, the Reverend Joseph Francis, 67, of Woodville, FL answered his Master's call at home on Friday, July 26, 2013. Funeral services are 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Greater Poplar Springs Missionary Baptist Church, Jasper, FL; burial rites will follow at Tallahassee's Southside Cemetery. Viewing-visitation is 2:00-5:00 p.m. Friday at TILLMAN OF TALLAHASSEE 850-942-1950, with a Wake following from 6:30-8:00 p.m. at Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church, where he pastored, in Perry, FL. He was a U.S. Marine combat veteran and longtime owner of JJC Enterprises Concrete and Landscape Service. Treasuring his legacy are: his wife, Reverend Cornelia Francis; daughters, Tracey, Tameka, Tyeshia and Vonsheila Francis, Chelsea Mathis, Alisha Anderson, Keshia McCloud and Kerissa Blue; sons, Rodney Anderson, Justin Francis, Kendrick (Kendra) Holland and Karlon Blue; granddaughters, Vontravia and Tralesiya Oliver and RaeJeania Francis; sisters, Emma Stubbins and Ann Mitchell; brothers, Havord (Lefornia) Francis, Reverend Dr. Hozell (Lynda) Francis, Sr. and Samuel (Willie Mae) Francis, Sr.; special friends who were caregivers and nurses, Sandy Combs and Catherine Devenish; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
