Randy Harrison

Celebrate the life of Randy Harrison on Sunday, October 7 at 2pm at Lake Ella (behind Black Dog Cafe). Bring a picnic and a flower.

Randy was much loved by all who knew him and projected a positive nature that impressed even those who met him only once. When asked "What do you do?" at a party - he would say "I try to be a better person."He was dedicated to a peaceful and healthy life, working as a fitness trainer for the YMCA,and many appreciated his calm and clear demeanor as the First Friday bicycle security at Railroad Square. He was also known for his automotive expertise, and many recall getting their first car via Randy's advice. Strength and clarity, kindness and spiritual awareness were Randy's outstanding virtues. He would have embraced the world if he could have and no one gave better hugs. He sure will be missed.

He is survived by his wife Joan Matey, his mother Harriet Fairchild, of Tallahassee, his brother Victor Harrison, wife Sue of Louisville KY, his sister Nina Peterson, husband Eric of Atlanta GA, and devoted nieces Dana and Julie Harrison.

Memorials in his name may be made to: Big Bend Hospice 1732 Mahan Drive, Tallahassee FL, 32308, or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society 3319 McGuire Blvd., Suite 101, Orlando FL 32803.
