Willie J. McKinney
Willie James (Bill) McKinney, 78, passed away at home on the morning of November 21, 2013.
Willie is a military retiree, a dedicated community worker, and mentor to many young people. He was also an alumnus of Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University, a member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, a Golden Heritage Life member of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), a member of Frontiers International Inc., and a former National Kidney Association Board member. Willie actively served the Tallahassee community for 30 years before his health failed him.
Willie leaves to mourn his passing: wife, Daisy; daughters, June (Reginald Riley) and Joy; son, James (Evelyn); grandson, Ambe; granddaughters Azinwi and Regina Riley; brother, Michael Green (Joyce); and a host of relatives and friends. His beloved mother, Clifford Mountcastle, preceded him in death.
His funeral service will be held at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church at 12 noon on Friday, November 29, 2013. A viewing will take place from 11:00 a.m. until 11:55 a.m. at the church.
