Emmie Kenney Phillips June 29, 1931 - May 26, 2011. She was 79.Born Moultrie, GA, Died in Memphis, TN. She was a Graduate of Valdosta State University with a BA in History. Her parents were: Mother - Margie Stokes Kenney andFather - James Heard Kenney. Emmie was retired from Bank of America (formally Barnett Bank) of Tallahassee. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, the Altrusa Club, Trinity United Methodist Altar Guild, Thomasville Garden Club and the Bartlett Garden Club. Proceeded in death by her parents Margie and James Kenney of Moultrie, Dr. Nell Kenney Lane (sister) of Thomasville and Rachel Nicole Phillips (granddaughter) of Tallahassee. Survived by her son and daughter-in-law - Gene & Lisa Phillips Bartlett, TN, grandson Kenney Phillips Orlando, FL, granddaughter Christina Phillips St. Petersburg, FL, granddaughter Rebekah Phillips Bartlett, TN, niece Debbie Lane Abitante Tenafly, NJ. Visitation will on Friday June 3, 2011 at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home 700 Timberlane Road (850) 893-4177 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Graveside Service will be conducted at MeadowWood Memorial Park at 10:00 am Saturday.
