I stopped in Melrose FL while traveling, and went by their small cemetery to visit my grandparents´ graves. It had been awhile and i couldn´t remember exactly where they rested so I started searching row by row. Imagine looking down and finding Chip!? How blessed i felt that God would guide me there. Glad i was able to say a prayer for his kind resting soul but again so saddened of his passing.

I just found about my college friend; not just of his passing, but of his faith in Jesus Christ. Here's to the guaranteed reunion!

Chip,

We weren't ever the best of friends but we probably would've been had we known eachother longer. When I knew you I always thought highly of you.

I'm very saddened you have left us, but remembering you as you were, you have to be in a nice and very happy place!

Rock on, Big Guy!!!

Chip was the "question man." Never was without a question of a thousand...
A good listener who always heard what you said...
He could hold onto a dollar until eternity.
He would eat you out of house and home..always had an appetite for eating...and learning..a thirst for knowledge.
He had huge hands and petted my dog too hard..but he loved him.
There will never be anyone who resembles him in any way, shape, or form.
Peace be with you, Chippy. I am sure heaven holds alot of answers to your questions.

Chip and I became friends in 2008...We quickly became close. Chip's loyalty to his close friends and how he was always there for them...he would give the shirt off his back; was the thing that drew me most to him. Chip and I had many long walks, afternoons of Frisbee, and games of Racket Ball together. We talked about Christ, attended small christian and classes together. I went to St. Peter's several times and he went to Element 3 church with me (my home church); I even attended the midnight Christmas Eve Mass at St. Peters in 2010. My favorite memories of Chip: skating, his trying to show me a few chords of his beloved 6-string Bass, and that ridiculous funny night that I had brought over some Big-Band and Swing CD's and were dancing to it.

I will cherish these memories...Chip talked fondly about his family and was excited when he was able to see them.

To Chip's family: He loved you.

Words cannot express...I will miss the walks, Racket Ball, talks, and Frisbee outings we had. I also remember the time we went skating! Chip was a private person but he did express his excitement to me about visiting his family in Fort Myers.

I got to know Chip at St. Peter's. We became friends and I always enjoyed our visits together. We would sometimes meet at Lake Ella on warm, sunny days and have interesting and often deep spiritual conversations about many things. Do you remember, "For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face" (1 Cor. 13:12)? Rest in peace my friend. -Steve

Last Friday night, I had a thought of high school friends and Chip came to mind. One of the nicest boys at Lincoln I remember. My deepest sympathy goes out to Chip's family and close friends.

I woke this morning to a FB message letting me know of Chip's passing, and I still don't know what to say. We went to Lincoln together and played in a hard rock band, Rude Awakening, which is kind of ironic since I woke this morning to learn this awful news. It had been a little while since I last saw Chip, although it was at one of my current gigs - I didn't even know if he was still playing bass. In the entire time I knew Chip, he always asked a lot of questions and seemed to want to know as much as he could about everything. He thirsted for knowledge, was a good musician and band mate, a good loyal friend and apparently a great athlete (I never played soccer with him). It's times like this that make me wish we would have stayed in touch more than we did - I don't know why we didn't. Maybe it was because Chip was more of a private person, I don't know, but I am feeling really sad right now and reflective. I miss you Chip, and I wish I would have known to reach out to you.

Chip, you are very missed dear brother. I only knew you for a short time but am so thankful since our friendship began while you were seeking and eventually found Jesus. You are dearly loved back here and beyond our understanding there with your Father in the Kingdom. Rest in peace dear friend.

Chip You will be missed, I can still remember all of us hanging out at the country club, swimming, playing tennis and racket ball all summer long. And when it came to soccer you were the bomb, nothing got by you in that goal, no matter how hard Isensee kicked it. God bless you

Chip - you are gone but not forgotten. I remember you as a child and watched you grow into manhood. You were a great goalie in the Lincoln soccer league and you were surrounded by friends every time I saw you.

It was just two weeks ago that you were here at our house in Sopchoppy and I know you were fighting the good fight at that time.

My heart goes out to your Dad and brother. Nothing is harder for a father than losing a son.

I am very appreciative of all that have called and written to express their condolences regarding our loss. Take heart that Chip has touched so many lives and let us all share the burden. His Legacy will be the memory we have of him and the humanity he showed to us all. We can carry this forward and affect others well by what he has taught us.
