Tracey Kidd Obituary
Tracey Scott "Scotty" Kidd, 43, went to be with his Heavenly Father on May 14th 2011 in Tallahassee, Florida.Scotty was not only a Kidd, but a kid at heart; forever playful and lighthearted. He had a special connection with children and always found a way to make them feel special. If Scotty wasn't coaching on the baseball field, he was looking for somewhere to go fishing. Scotty loved being outside in God's Creation enjoying life. Scotty graduated from Florida High in 1986 and was a friend to all he met. Scotty was a member of the 1986 Florida State High School Baseball Championship Team, and won the Spark Plug Award his Senior year. He attended Southeastern University and lettered in baseball. Scotty was also an avid Florida State Football fan.He is survived by the love of his life, Tonya Kidd, two step children, Amber and Zach Dillman, his parents Joby and Mary Kidd, Grandmother Dorothy "Dot" Kidd, brothers, Cotton (Laura) Kidd, Tony (Heather) Kidd and Casey (Heather) Kidd, nieces, Tanner, Brady, and Abigail, nephews, Tucker, Dawson and Jaret, many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and friends whom he loved dearly. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made either to Good News Outreach, 242 Lafayette Circle, Tallahassee, FL 32302 or A Women's Pregnancy Center, 919 W Pensacola Street, Tallahassee, FL 32304.Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday May 18th. at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home 1737 Riggins Road (850) 877-8191. Memorial Services will be held on Thursday May 19, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. from Northwoods Baptist Church 3762 NW Capital Circle.

I am so sorry to hear about Scotty. He was fun to be around. Always quick at making people laugh! Florida High just wouldn't have been the same without him. I'm glad I had a chance to be around him in high school! He will be remembered and missed by many!

We are so very sorry to hear that you have lost Scotty. We have so many happy memories of us all getting together, with our wives and kids, every week for our soccer matches out at the Meadows. I remember the neighborhood playing a football game in Scotty's back yard, and fishing in his family's pond. It had been about six years the last time I ran into Scotty, and he still had that same smile. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Cant believe it. Just talked to Scotty a few weeks ago. He was in such good spirit. He looked good and was very happy. I will never forget Scotty's sense of humor, and that slant headed smile he always carried. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of the family. May God bless you now and always.

Although I haven't spent time with Scotty in many years, I have special memories of him. Scotty always made me smile; he shared anything he had with those in need and seemed to encourage those around him even when he was down. I will miss him. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Kidd family for their loss, but I know that Scotty had a deep and abiding relationship with God; he is with Jesus now.

My memories of Scotty are those of a young boy, elementary school-aged, always smiling, laughing and "cuttin up". Though it had been many years since I had seen Scotty, I have no doubt that he was the same smiling character that I had the pleasure of knowing all those years ago. He was one of those people that EVERYONE liked because he was just so much fun to be around! My prayers are for his family - that they find the strength, courage and grace to go on after such a devastating loss. And for his friends, both old and new, I pray that we all strive to be the kind of person that I remember him as - the kind that smiles and laughs and wants nothing more than to be a good person and have fun doing it!

To all of Scotty's family, I was very sad to hear the news. Myself and many others have only great funny memories of Skidd. I hadn't seen Scotty in a while, but I had heard he was doing well. I don't think I've ever seen or heard Scotty's name without a smile crossing my face reminding me of some great memory about something hilarious that he did or said. Scotty was a nice boy when I knew him as a FHS student and we recently shared a yearbook memories after I saw him work with students. Scotty was teaching the students about Art History. I was shocked! He was a nice man and he will be missed!
