Carlos Johnson Obituary
Carlos Elton Johnson, 86, of Tallahassee, died Saturday, May 21, 2011 in Tallahassee following a brief illness. He is survived by his wife of 64 years Doris McCrary Johnson.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, EDT on Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at Fellowship Baptist Church in Tallahassee. Pastor Doyle Bell and Dr. Charles Fulton will officiate. Interment will follow at 3:30 PM, EDT at Oakridge Cemetery in Tifton, Georgia. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 24 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Bevis Funeral Home in Tallahassee (850/385-2193).
Gifts in memory of Mr. Johnson may be made to the Building Fund at Fellowship Baptist Church, 3705 North Monroe Street, Tallahassee, FL 32303 or to the FSU Autism Project, 625-B North Adams Street, Tallahassee, FL 32301.
A native of Tift County, Georgia, Mr. Johnson moved to Tallahassee in 1955. He retired as Assistant Manager after more than 28 years with Apex Linen Service. He was formerly a member of Northside Baptist Church in Tifton and was a member of Fellowship Baptist in Tallahassee.
Other survivors include three sons, Caroll Johnson (Brenda) and Larry Johnson (Marcia), both of Tallahassee and Elton Johnson (Tracey) of Bradenton, FL; his sister Sue Benson of Tifton; eight grandchildren, Danna Johnson Benner (Mike), Brad, Boyd, Delaney, Jeremy and Adam Johnson, Michael Bozone (Kristina) and Justin Bozone (Karen); and three great-grandchildren.

Please accept my sympathy. At a time like this there are no words to make the pain go away. I know your loved one will always reside in your heart and continue to live in your memories but this knowledge is only a salve for the pain you are feeling now. I pray the Lord will sustain you through all of your tomorrows and give you comfort in this time of need.
