Larry was involved in law enforcement well before 1961..We were classmates at Leon in 1955...After school I would take him to Leon County Jail on my motorcycle where he worked for then Sheriff Bill Joyce...After high school we lost track of each other till much later...We often spoke and I always treasured those times...Larry was somewhat a hero for all those years...I will as well as the community miss his professional and dignified involvement..

To the Family: It is obvious that Larry was a people person. He cared very much about his job and helping people. I appreciated his work on the Gary Hilton case. He talked with our family for an extensive amount of time after the murder of Sherry (Cheryl Dunlap). I truly appreciate his concern for justice.

Though death can steal your loved one, it can never steal your love. Larry lives in your hearts and he lives in your memories. May you hold fast those memories and they will help you to deal with this great loss. Life is so short and those we love are gone from our lives too quickly. God's promise to empty the grave in the near future is found at Hosea 13:14. May the God of loyal love comfort you during your time of sorrow.

Larry and my father in law Edward Couch Sr. got into a to of mischief together here in Tallahassee. They had great times together. My husband Shawn grew up knowing him as Uncle Larry. When Shawn and I married in 2008 he made me feel like I belonged. He told me I made a promise to Shawn's parents that I would watch over of him. Then he hugged me and said welcome to the family. I am making this promise to you Uncle Larry I am going to watch over him now. Don't cause to much mischief up in heaven with dad. We love you and you will be missed. To your wife and family may you find peace and lots of great memories like we have.
