William Ervin Obituary
Bill Ervin, 73, passed away unexpectedly at home Friday, January 9, 2015.
He was a lifetime resident of Tallahassee and a graduate of Leon High School, class of 1960. Bill is survived by his mother, Jewel Howard, his son Billy Ervin (Laura) daughters Linda Harrison (Mike) and Christy Ervin, his sister Cindy Aaron (Wayne) and brother Jim Ervin, sister in law Helen Ervin of all of Tallahassee and brother John Ervin (Colleen) of Orlando, six grandchildren, Alex, Will, Joey and Lindsey Ervin and Erica and Kalyn Harrison of Tallahassee.
He was preceded in death by his father Thomas Mabry Ervin, Sr., and brother Thomas Mabry Ervin, Jr.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 13 at East Hill Baptist Church at 11:00am, 912 Miccosukee Road, with a reception following at the Tallahassee Elks Lodge 12:30-2:30 pm.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests a donation to Florida Elks Youth Camp, c/o Tallahassee Elks Lodge, 276 N. Magnolia Drive 32301. Susie Mozolic of Bevis Funeral Home is assisting the family with their arrangements. (850-385-2193 www.bevisfh.com)

So sorry to read this. Mr. Ervin was such a nice person to work with. I just thought of him a few days ago. We have identical grandfather clocks made by our respective fathers and he shared his manual with me so that I could repair mine. For some reason that kindness from years ago crossed my mind. May he be in peace.

I am sorry to hear of Bill's passing and send my condolences to his family. Bill's office was very close to mine at the Forest Service and I will miss talking to him about various topics such as FSU sports and the Tallahassee of the past. My fondest memory of Bill is probably the last time I saw him last week when he waved at me as he walked into his office after getting a cup of coffee and gave me that "devious" grin he liked to share. RIP
