Alberta Roberts Obituary
Alberta Sneed Roberts, 88, of Monticello passed peacefully at her home, surrounded by her family on Saturday, May 14, 2011.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Greater Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church in Monticello with burial at Texas Hill Cemetery. Viewing-visitation is 3-8 p.m. Friday at TILLMAN OF MONTICELLO 850-997-5553.
A native and lifelong resident of Jefferson County, Mrs. Roberts was a retired nursery employee and a faithful member of Northside Church of Christ.
Among those mourning her passing are her sons: David Roberts, John Henry Roberts and Lewis Roberts; her daughters: Ruby (John) Roberts-Darring, Lucy (Elijah) Cannon and Jeannie Roberts-Harley; brothers: Lewis Sneed, Willie (Mary) Sneed and Hodges Sneed; sisters: Josephine Thomas and Minnie Dickerson; along with a host of grand and great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Roberts was preceded in death by her parents, Greene, Sr. and Everleaner Adkinson Sneed; husband, James Roberts; her children, Wilie James, Joe, Early Mae, Ruth L. and Rubin Roberts; brothers, Greene, Jr., Ernest and Johnny Sneed; sisters, Dorothy Holmes, Mary Hogans and Rosa Lee Smith; and a son-in-law, Bernard Harley.
