Henry Barbree Obituary
Henry Elmer Barbree, 69, passed away Saturday, May 14, 2011 in Tallahassee, Fl.
He was a Christian and is now with the Lord. He was a faithful and active member of the Wakulla United Methodist Church. He enjoyed working and helping others. He always made sure the grass at the Church was cut for Sunday morning. He was a truck driver for many years and even after "retiring" a couple of times, he was still active in training new drivers and filling in when a driver was out or extra help was needed. He loved his family and they loved him deeply.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Special Olympics Florida, Wakulla County, Attn: Sharon Scherbath, 3237 Coastal Highway, Crawfordville, Florida 32327 or to the Wakulla United Methodist Church Building Fund, 1584 Old Woodville Road, Crawfordville, Florida 32327.
Visitation will be Monday, May 16, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Bevis Funeral Home, Harvey-Young Chapel in Crawfordville.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Wakulla United Methodist Church, Wakulla Station, Florida. Burial will follow at Wakulla United Methodist Church Cemetery. Bevis Funeral Home, Harvey-Young Chapel in Crawfordville is in charge of arrangements. (850-926-3333 or www.bevisfh.com).
He is survived by two daughters, Sheila Vick and husband David, Brenda Mainer and husband Ricky; one son, Henry Barbree; two sisters, Jessie Mae Harvey and husband, Ray, Choppy McIver; seven grandchildren, Judy Vick, Jake Vick, Randell Mainer, RickiLee Mainer, Henry Ausley Barbree, Hannah Barbree and Haley Barbree and his best friend, Martha Barbree.

Henry (& family) - Sorry for your loss of your father. I know you will miss him dearly. May you find peace in knowing that he has gone to be with the Lord and will be one of his angels looking down and keeping watch over all of you now. My prayers are with all of you.

So sorry to hear about his passing. I worked with him at McKenzie Tank lines several years ago. He was a very nice man. God please bless the family and ease their sorrow.
