Jack Tyler Obituary
Jack Eric Tyler, 59, of Tallahassee, died Tuesday, May 24, 2011 in Tallahassee. The memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, June 4th at K & K Fish Camp in Tallahassee. Family will receive friends at the memorial service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Moffitt Cancer Center, 12902 Magnolia Drive, Tampa, FL 33612-9416. Fairchild Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. A native of Ft. Lauderdale, he had lived in Tallahassee since 1987. Eric attended Stranahan High School in Ft. Lauderdale and Interlachen High School in Interlachen, FL. He was a painting contractor as well as an avid fisherman and FSU fan.
He is survived by his wife, Corinne Herring; daughter, Ashley Corinne Tyler; brother, Gary Tyler; sister, Ginger Tyler; nieces Sarah and Kayla Tyler; nephew, Allen Tyler, all of Tallahassee, and numerous friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack E. and Sarah Pittman Tyler.

eric "the painter" "the fisherman" tyler. we used to hang after i got off work from shenanigan's. He drank the dollar mugs and captain& coke. we used to talk about all sorts of things. usually about his daughter, ashley who he spoke often and proudly of. He could be grumpy after a particularly rough day, just as anyone else but by the time he was ready to go home there was talk of fishing plans, followed by a reinforcing smile from beyond the mustache. a hard worker, and a loving father. good man for advice. "later dude." was his sign off.

I am sorry to hear about Eric. He was a great guy and am glad I was able to get to know him. He will be sorely missed amoung his friends.

I was very sorry to hear about Eric's passing. I'm very glad I got the opportunity to spend some time with him, and serve him his beers for a bit. =) Rest in peace, Eric. You will be missed by so many!!!

Eric was a true gentleman. He will be missed by many in the Tallahassee area. I know he is resting peacefully now. We will all see him again. Rest in peace Eric! Wish I could kiss your head just once more.

I knew Eric for a short time, and he was always very kind to me. I have many fond memories of our talks at happy hour, usually about our daughters. I will miss him.
