My memories of Jim are mostly from childhood, especially during the times he spent in Penderlea, NC, with our grandparents. Meeting him through the years was always a pleasure. He will be sorely missed and remembered by so many people his life has touched along the way. My heartfelt condolences go to all the family.

Like the Dos Equis commercial Jim, in fact, was the most interesting man I ever knew. I shall miss his friendship, our Sunday afternoons at Harry's and his wise and learned counsel. His vibrancy and sense-of-humor will live on his friends and family forever. God bless, Virginia.
