James Robert NeSmith, Sr.

Services for James Robert NeSmith Sr., 97 of Thomasville are 10 am, Friday, June 10 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home Chapel. Minister Alan McNabb and Rev. Al Wilbourn will officiate and interment will be in Big Creek Cemetery. Mr. NeSmith passed away June 6, 2011 at Archbold Hospital. Born April 14, 1914 in Thomasville, he was the son of the late Asa NeSmith and Carrie Belle Paramore NeSmith. He was married to Reba Williams NeSmith who preceded him in death. Mr. NeSmith was a veteran of the US Army, was owner of NeSmith Nursery in Tallahassee, was very involved in genealogical research and was founder of Tallahassee Orchid Society. Survivors include son James R. NeSmith Jr., and wife Kathryn and grandson Asa NeSmith all of Monticello, Fl. and several nieces and nephews. The Family will receive friends 6-8 pm Thursday, June 9, 2011 at the funeral home. Guests may sign the online register at www.allenfh.com
