Jeannie Porter Obituary
Jeannie Bowling Porter, age 74, of Tallahassee, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on May 4, 2017.
She was the owner of Sunnyland Nursery School for 28 years. She later retired from Coldwell Banker.
She is survived by her mother, Eunice Bragg; children, Miles, Tammy, Roxanne, Phil, Preston and Janet and other loving step-children, step-grandchildren and family members. She was preceded in death by husbands, Miles Gary Donaldson and James T. Porter.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 8, 2017, at Bevis Funeral Home, 2710 N. Monroe Street, until service time at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Brian Gilliland of Morningside Baptist Church is officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Tallahassee Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Morningside Baptist Church Building Fund, 1560 Pedrick Road, Tallahassee, FL 32317 or Big Bend Hospice 1723 Mahan Center Blvd., Tallahassee, FL 32308.

Jeannie was a vivacious, friendly and beautiful member of our Leon High School Class of 1960. I will miss her and will remember her always. My deepest sympathy to her family.

I knew your mom and attend school with her, one of my special memories is when now Queen Elizabeth attained the throne the whole class went to your moms and watched the celebrations form there. not everyone had tv then. just one of her actss of sharing, jeannie you will be missed.
