John Frank Liseno
John Frank Liseno, 50, of Crawfordville, died January 12, 2014, at Shands Hospital in Gainesville after complications from a lung transplant he received on December 15, 2012. John was born August 5, 1963, in New Brunswick, NJ, to Carmen and Mary (Gourley) Liseno. He met his wife Lisa (Watkins) Liseno on February 16, 1999, Mardi Gras Day, in New Orleans, Louisiana, and the two were inseparable from then on. John and Lisa moved to Tallahassee in August 2000, and were united in marriage on September 23, 2007, in Sturgeon Bay, WI. John owned and operated John the Painter Inc., a commercial paint contracting company in Tallahassee.John founded his company in 2005 and built it from the ground up. John was an avid Harley-Davidson motorcycle enthusiast and loved to jump on one of his two beloved Harleys and ride with any of his many pals (aka brothers) to Daytona, New Jersey, Wisconsin or anywhere the road would take him.
John was an incredibly loving, devoted and selfless husband and friend, and the most genuine, uninhibited, hardworking person who was always looking for ways to give back to others and pay it forward.Although he had bad lungs, he was known by many for his huge heart. He was quick with a joke and even quicker with lending his generous, kindhearted hands to anyone in need. A fabulous cook, John enjoyed sharing his signature Italian dish of homemade sauce, meatballs and sausage. He loved his wife, his cats George and Weezee, and all his family and friends deeply.
John is also survived by his brother, Carmen Liseno, of Daytona Beach; his in-laws, Norman and Mabel Watkins, of Sturgeon Bay, WI; his sister-in-law, Robin (Nick Mitchell) Watkins, of Wake Forest, NC; his brothers-in-law, Steve (Jackie Falk) Watkins, of Cincinnati, OH, and Dan (Sherry) Watkins, of Naperville, IL; his niece, Cheyenne Watkins, of Dixon, IL; his nephew, Elliot Watkins, of Naperville, IL; and his cousins Barbara Long, Christine Brace, Vincent Marski, Linda Scott and Bernadette Hathaway. He was preceded in death by his parents.
