Reverend Moderator Joseph Francis
First Central Missionary Baptist Association Moderator, the Reverend Joseph Francis, 67, of Woodville, FL answered his Master's call at home on Friday, July 26, 2013.
Funeral services are 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Greater Poplar Springs Missionary Baptist Church, Jasper, FL; burial rites will follow at Tallahassee's Southside Cemetery. Viewing-visitation is 2:00-5:00 p.m. Friday at TILLMAN OF TALLAHASSEE 850-942-1950, with a Wake following from 6:30-8:00 p.m. at Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church, where he pastored, in Perry, FL. He was a U.S. Marine combat veteran and longtime owner of JJC Enterprises Concrete and Landscape Service.
Treasuring his legacy are: his wife, Reverend Cornelia Francis; daughters, Tracey, Tameka, Tyeshia and Vonsheila Francis, Chelsea Mathis, Alisha Anderson, Keshia McCloud and Kerissa Blue; sons, Rodney Anderson, Justin Francis, Kendrick (Kendra) Holland and Karlon Blue; granddaughters, Vontravia and Tralesiya Oliver and RaeJeania Francis; sisters, Emma Stubbins and Ann Mitchell; brothers, Havord (Lefornia) Francis, Reverend Dr. Hozell (Lynda) Francis, Sr. and Samuel (Willie Mae) Francis, Sr.; special friends who were caregivers and nurses, Sandy Combs and Catherine Devenish; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
