Judith Kay Allen-Roeder

Judith Kay Allen-Roeder, 41 years old, passed away on October 10, 2012 in Atlanta, Georgia after a lengthy illness. Funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, October 14, 2012 in the chapel of Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, 700 Timberlane Road. Family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until the service hour. A reception will follow the service in the MeadowWood Room of the funeral home.

Judy grew up in Quincy, Florida and graduated from Greensboro High School in 1989. She then relocated to Tallahassee, Florida and worked for the Florida Lottery until 2001. While in Tallahassee, Florida she met and married the love of her life, Aaron Roeder in July, 2001. Judy and her family then relocated to Cary, North Carolina where she worked for the lottery as a Prize Validation Manager. While working in N.C. she earned her A. A. degree from A.I.C. in Information Services and continued in her degree until her illness.

Judy was predeceased by her children, Shelley, Joshua and Madison. She is survived by her husband, Aaron Roeder, daughters, Jasmine of Norcross, Georgia and Marissa Coleman Williams and husband, Nelson, and grandson Noah, all of Oceanside, California. She is also survived by her parents Kay and Don Hamm of Quincy, Florida and Carl and Pattie Allen of Franklin, North Carolina. Other survivors include her siblings, David Hamm and wife, Eileen of Hosford, Florida, Angela Hamm and daughter Danyelle of Tallahassee, Florida, Jody Bell and husband Kevin of Otto, North Carolina, David Allen and wife, Genna of Franklin, North Carolina, Tiffany Allen of Norcross, Georgia and Anthony Hamm of Quincy, Florida.

Judy was of the Christian faith and was a member of Calvary Chapel in Tallahassee, Florida until she moved her membership to Peachtree Corners Baptist Church in Norcross, Georgia.

The family would also like to acknowledge the kind and compassionate care Judy received by Longleaf Hospice in Atlanta, Georgia.
