Linda´s music must live on to provide life sustaining funds for all her nieces & nephews. This is a destiny unrealized. It becomes my main motivation, and remains so to this day.

I worked with Linda in the mid 70's playing on the road and doing the Willie Nelson picnic in 76. Linda was always very very kind to me and others that worked with her. I know she will sadly be missed.....a true talent.

Linda was my wife's favorite singer. We used to see her at Hook Wreck Henry's or Angelo's whenever she was playing. We had the honor of having her sing at our wedding reception and our first dance was to I've Never Loved Anyone More. She helped make our wedding very special. I'm sure she's in heaven singing Let It Shine to the angels. Our deepest sympathy to all her family, she will be missed.

Linda was a minister in a church my family attended; a true worshipper in spirit and in truth. Her songs live on in our hearts!

I played in Linda's first band in Tallahassee in the old days. I will miss her very much. My heart goes out to you, Lee. Say "Hi" to Bobby for me, Linda. She's singing with the angels now.

To the Hargrove Family,
Our thoughts & prayers are with you during this sad time.
Linda was one of the most dedicated artists I've ever worked with...Her many works will live forever. The pain & suffering she's had to endure these many years is over now and she's on her way to the next gig. I can envision her having a huge time with all the musicians who've left us earlier. It doesn't make it any easier for the family & friends left behind but please know in your hearts that Linda is doing just fine. Jesus has another great musician in the band...I'm told Jesus definitely has a soft spot for musicians. R.I.P. Dear Linda

I FIRST SAW LINDA SITTING AT THE CONTROL BOARD AT PETE DRAKE'S STUDIO, ENGINEERING A SESSION. HER ALBUM, BLUEJEAN COUNTRY QUEEN, HAS JUST BEEN RELEASED AND I FELL IN LOVE WITH HER MUSIC, HER VOICE AND HER STYLE. WE SAW EACH OTHER ON OCCASION THROUGHOUT THE DECADES AND ENDED UP WRITING A COUPLE OF SONGS TOGETHER. WRITING WITH HER WAS AN HONOR AND A JOY.
LINDA BROKE A LOT OF GROUND FOR THE MANY FEMALE ARTISTS/WRITERS OF TODAY. SHE WAS ONE OF THE FIRST FEMALE SINGERS TO WRITE HER OWN MATERIAL AND WAS A FEMALE SESSION PICKER IN A TIME WHEN THERE WEREN'T ANY FEMALE SESSION PICKERS.
MY WIFE,KAREN, IS ALSO A HUGE FAN OF LINDA'S MUSIC. AS I WRITE THIS, WE ARE LISTENING TO MY FAVORITE LINDA SONG "MUSIC IS YOUR MISTRESS".
OUR THOUGHTS ARE WITH HER FAMILY DURING THIS TIME OF THEIR GREAT LOSS.
SHE WAS THE VERY BEST IN SO MANY MANY WAYS.

My late-husband, Larry, played lead for Linda in the 70's, and we all spent wonderful hours at Pete's Place back then. I can just hear Linda as she entered the pearly gates . . . "Hey guys! We're puttin' the band back together!" RIP Linda

To the Hargrove Family,
I graduated from Leon with Linda and was always in awe of her musical talent. She fought the good fight and will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She wrote and sang many great songs.
My thoughts and prayers are with all of you in this time of sadness.

PS - If heaven has a bluebird cafe, there's gonna be a heck of a songwriter's night - I figure she and our brother Pat'll collaborate on one or two, our parents will be in the audience, and mom'll be yelling out 'play the memories song, it's my favorite!'… - Anne

I had the pleasure of meeting Linda in 1998 when she came out to one of my old band ( Fuse ) shows. We have remained friends ever since and i can say without a doubt she was one of the strongest women i have ever met. So talented and always had her heart on her sleeve. She will be welcomed in heaven where she will share the stage with other legends like herself. God speed my friend. Let the angels sing.

Lee - I am deeply saddened to hear of Linda's death. I remember her playing the French Horn in the Leon Marching Redcoat Band. She was a very talented song writer-musician. Mostly, I will remember her long and strong battle throughout her illness. My love and condolences to you and your family.

I only knew Linda casually but know many who knew her well and they always talked so highly of her. She is now exploring what ever lies beyond and I am sure that whatever is it will now be a better place with her in it. A courageous and talented lady.
