Myrtle Richards Obituary

Myrtle Stedman Richards Myrtle Stedman Richards, 97, a retired home economics and science teacher, died Friday, July 23, 2010, in Tallahassee. She was born September 19, 1912, in Greensboro, North Carolina to the late Joseph Walter and Nora Phillips Richards. She was married to the late William Arthur Richards and was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church. She volunteered in the office at St. Paul's, loved classical music and had traveled abroad to Europe to visit her son when he was an opera tenor. She was a member of the Retired Teacher's Association. She had resided at 803 Hi Lo Way for fifty years, lived for two and a half years at Broadview Assisted Living and spent the past year living with her son and daughter-in-law. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Walter William and Rosemary Sutter Richards; and grandson, Daniel S. Sutter. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Alice Claire Richards; grandson, Thomas G. Sutter;and brothers, Robert B. Stedman and Joseph Stedman. The funeral is at 1:00 pm DT, Monday, July 26, 2010, at St Paul's United Methodist Church, with entombment at Tallahassee Memory Gardens. We were just informed by our neighbor, Eric, of the passing of your mother. Please know that you will be in our thoughts and prayers. I know there is a void that can never be fully replaced. She blessed many people in her 97 years.
Let the peace and comfort that only comes from the Lord take you through these days.
