Robert Mills Obituary
Robert James "BJ" Mills, 33, passed away May 17, 2011, in Tallahassee.
Born November 4, 1977, in Tallahassee, he was the son of Robert A. and Sue Perry Mills. He was a self-employed painter and an avid hunter and fisherman.
He is survived by his parents, sister and brother-in-law, Brandi and Garry Gruber; nephew, Gavin Gruber; grandfather, Gilbert A. Mills; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends; his dog, Bella.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, James T. and Louise F. Perry, Goldie Mills; aunt, Jackie Jones.
The funeral is 2:00 PM, Friday, May 20, 2011, at Abbey Funeral Home, with visitation an hour prior to the service. A celebration of life will be held immediately following the funeral at the family's residence.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Brandi Gruber, c/o Capital City Bank, attention Stanley Kahn, 3815 N. Monroe St., Tallahassee, Florida 32303, for Baby Boy Mills. Online condolences may be made at www.abbeyfh.com.

My fondest memory of BJ is a recent one. I hadn't seen BJ in a while and when I saw him at Daniel's house on 5/13/11 he was there with Catherine. BJ told me of the great news that he and Catherine were expecting a baby boy. He told me his son's name will be Brody James. I can't say I have ever seen him look so proud and excited as he was. It was so cute to see him like that, bragging like a proud daddy! I've always liked BJ, but seeing him in that moment made me like him even more. I have no doubt he will be the angel that watches over his son....

B.J. was the greatest guy in the world. He was a great cook and a awesome person. Mary will miss messing with him and calling him "Uncle B.J.". I will truely miss his smile and laughter.

In my life i have had friends come and go. B.J was one of those friends who was always around. B.J will be missed, and I know that for the years I knew him he made my life better. See you guys one day.

i met bj about 9 years ago and he will be miss every time i grab a pole to go fishing . i will always remember how he was always trying to plan on somehow having fun in the sun. He was a great friend and a great fishing buddy. He will be missed by so many. May he rest in peace.

Bj was a great guy and a good friend. He surely will be missed. He was also one of the best bass fisherman I've ever known.

I met B.J. A long time ago when I lived in Crawfordviile and hung out with Amber Scott and Shea Williams. He was always acting a fool and was an all around great guy! I'm so sorry for your loss.

BJ... Hahaha what can I say bro... I am going to miss our crazy beach trips. I am going to miss us getting fishing tickets off the pier! Haha.. My sincere sympathy to all of you. Catherine, you made him so happy and I have a rock in my heart for you. I know that you will make sure that Brody knows BJ and that he is starting life with his very own angel watching over him. BJ - you will be greatly missed. We all have so many memories together! I remember going to stay at St. George for the chilli cook-off and me & u were up and got started early, everyone else got up and scolded us for it! Brandi, I was shocked to have read BJ's obituary in the newspaper and saddened for what I can only imagine you are going through. I remember your dear love for your brother and my heart breaks for you. I know we have lost touch over the years but please know that my prayers are with you, your family, your friends and BJ.

To my long time buddy from Mr Ruby class in the third grade.. I want to say thank you for being true and strong as concrete in your moral standing, teaching me to match my clothes and not be a total dork, catching crawldads,backyard bonfire camping,riding skateboards head first down the really steep hill in front of your house,endless hours on the lake and beach. Bob, Sue, Brandi, I love you all!I am so sorry, words can't express the sorrow that I feel for you and the loss of BJ. We truly had a good time on Longview Drive, the boy's growing up together...Bob you being the football coach, the fishing tournaments for the kids, the cook-outs we had, the long nights talking and wondering what would become of our children and us. When BJ walked into our home for the first time, we were hooked on him! His smile, his laugh, his respect for others! He grew up to be a fine man! I am so proud of what he has done in this life! I believe he will always be with you! I am so sorry! My words can't express the heartache I feel for you and all of us that were touched by an Angel BJ Mills! We lost a good young man! Bob, Sue and Brandi: I am so very sorry for your loss. Brandi, the loss of a brother is so hard to understand. I lost a brother in 2005 and miss him terribly. The pain lessens over time, but the memories last forever. You have another angel watching over you and your family now.

My other brother BJ!!! You will always be the whisper in the wind that brings a certain calm to what you enjoyed doing most when I am fishing!! I was so blessed to have been able to call you a true friend!! We were supposed to go fishing Sunday and I am still gonna take the boys and go in your honor my brother!!
