Robin Candeto Obituary

Robin Cannon Candeto

Robin Cannon Candeto (b. 1957 in Tallahassee, FL) died on Tuesday, May 31, 2011 in her Maitland home of a rare, untreatable brain disease. She is survived by her parents Robert and Sherry Cannon of Tallahassee, FL, her sister Angela Cannon Hirte of Kansas City, MO, her aunt Betty Cannon Grines of Panama City, FL, her four children Caroline Candeto Newkirk, John Cannon Candeto, Steven Lewis Candeto II, and Sarah Lucille Candeto, and granddaughter Lydia Newkirk. Robin was a beloved early childhood administrator at The Geneva School, whose faith in Christ and gentle wisdom inspired many. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend whose generous hospitality and selflessness will be remembered well by those who knew her. A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 4, 2011 at 2:00 PM at St. Andrews Church (5525 Wayside Drive, Sanford, FL). Private interment will precede the service at Deland Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers it was Robin's request that donations be made to the Early Childhood Campus of The Geneva School (2025 S.R. 436, Winter Park, FL 32792).

Condolences may be shared with the family at www.lohmanfuneralhomes.com. Arrangements are under the direction of Lohman Funeral Home Deland.

Dear John, Caroline, Stevie and Lucy,
I just learned of your mother's illness and recent passing into the presence of God and choirs of angels. How thankful I am to have had the privilege of working for your lovely mother and for hearing her testimony before the Geneva School assembly. We will all miss her graciousness and loving care for so many others. I will be praying for you in your grieving, but also rejoicing in the testimony of her life that has triumphed in the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Love, Mary Frame

Dear Candeto Family, I am the mother of Kay Boehart, who has kept me informed of your beloved mother's condition. All of you have been in my prayers. I just listened to your mom's testimony on YouTube. What a courageous woman she was, and what a legacy she leaves! Kay loves all of you, and I appreciate your friendship with her. I send sincere condolences to you. God is good all the time...on the mountaintop and in the valley. God bless and keep you in His tender care. Christian love, Juaneil Strickland, Lake Charles, LA
