Marjorie Joan Myers

Marjorie Joan Myers, (Margie) of Tallahassee, FL passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 surrounded by her family. Margie was 80 years old, born April 2, 1933 in Shelburn In.

She married the love of her life, Richard Myers on Oct. 15, 1952 in Terre Haute Ind., and remained "his bride" for 49 years until his passing in 2001. She was a long time resident of Wakulla County and touched many lives working at the Shadeville Elementary School were the children affectionately referred to her as "Mama Bear". She took immense pride in her family and was a constant source of love, encouragement and understanding of all those she left behind. She was a member of the Medart Assembly of God in Crawfordville FL.

She is survived by Carla Maynor (Bobby), Crawfordville FL, Deborah Meister (Tom), Crawfordville FL, John Myers (Deanna), Ft. Mohave, AZ, and Dean Myers (Susan), Crawfordville FL. 9 Grandchildren and 13 Great Grandchildren. She also leaves behind two sisters, Tommy (Oleta) Young, OH and Kathryn Coffin, IN.

A visitation will be held at Medart Assembly of God on Sunday, February 8th from 1:30pm to 2:00pm, followed by a celebration of her life at 2:00pm. Entombment will take place at Culley's MeadowWood Memorial Park.

The family request that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Big Bend Hospice, 1723 Mahan Center Blvd. Tallahassee FL 32308.

She remains dearly loved by her family and friends and will always be in the hearts and memories of everyone who knew her.
