James "Don" Stockton
James "Don" Stockton, 73, was born in Crescent City, Florida he passed away in the company of his wife and children Thursday, February 20, 2014 at his home.
Don was survived by his wife, Rneé Hines Stockton and his 3 children, Doniece Stockton, Dana Goodwin and Tye Stockton, his 3 stepchildren, Shawn Dean, Chris Dean, Belle Bramlett, his sister, Barbera Stockton , 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Don was a resident of Tallahassee for 55 years.He worked for Cooperative's Computer Center for 41 years and retired as CEO of the company in 2009. Don was a builder and left his mark is on many homes he built in Tallahassee throughout the years. Don loved St. George Island and vacationed there every year for over 40 years. Don was very active with Winthrop Park's Little League baseball and was a tremendous role model for many young men who played for him over the years in the 70's.Don was loved by many and will be missed by all.
A Visitation will be held for Mr. Stockton Monday, February 24, 2014 at 12:30 in the afternoon at Fellowship Baptist Church (3705 North Monroe Street, Tallahassee, FL, 32303) with a service to follow at 1:30pm. The interment will be held after the service at Tallahassee Memory Gardens (4037 N Monroe St, Tallahassee, FL 32303).In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his honor to the Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranch, 2486 Cecil Webb Place, Live Oak, FL 32064 .
