Ellis L. Harvell

Ellis L. Harvell, 83, a resident of Tallahassee, passed away Friday, March 28, 2014, with his family at his side.

Born November 1, 1930 in Havana, Florida, he was a son of the late Sam and Evelyn Kelly Harvell. He served in the US Army and had retired as a salesman and vending operator from Eli Witt Tobacco and Candy Company after 42 years of service. He was a member of Concord Victory Assembly of God and loved his family, gardening, fishing and bird watching.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Doris Moore Harvell; son, Ellis Wayne Harvell; daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn Annette and Bob Ball; three grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a sister, Elizabeth Craven

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson, Chad Bruce and ten siblings.

The funeral is 2:00 PM Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at Abbey Funeral Home with interment at Tallahassee Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 Tuesday at the funeral home.
