Rudolph "Rudy" Lamar Davis

Rudolph "Rudy" Lamar Davis, 86, passed away March 29, 2014 in Tallahassee, FL. He was a native of Tallahassee and after graduating high school, he joined the United States Navy to serve during World War II.
After the war he came back to Tallahassee, where he attended Florida State University and also work for the Tallahassee Democrat. He then went to work for Pan-American Airlines, whom he worked for in Miami for more than 30 years. Rudy retired and moved back with his family to Tallahassee in 1974. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Tallahassee First Ward.

Rudy is survived by his wife of 63 years, Chloe Davis, three children, Richard (Evelyn) Davis, Vicki Fiorey, and Alan (Nancy) Davis. A sister, Betty Strickland, six grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Darrell Earl Davis, a brother, Earl Clayton Davis and a sister Mary Louise Gray.
The family will receive friends, Wednesday, April 2, 2014, at Bevis Funeral Home, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. The funeral service will be held Thursday, April 3, 2014 in the chapel of Bevis Funeral Home at 11:00 AM. Bevis Funeral Home, 850-385-2193, www.bevisfh.com, is assisting the family with their arrangements.
