Sarah Williams Barrington
Sarah Eliza Williams Barrington, 85, daughter of Nazareth and Parthenia Mosley Williams and widow of Wilbert Barrington, slipped into the arms of her Savior at her home on Thursday, April 24, 2014.
Funeral services are 10:00 a.m. Saturday at St. Rilla Missionary Baptist Church, Lloyd, FL. Burial will follow in Williams Family Cemetery. Viewing-visitation is 3-7:30 p.m. Friday at TILLMAN OF MONTICELLO 850-997-5553. A lifelong Jefferson County resident, Mrs. Barrington was a well-known floral designer, having owned and operated Barrington's Florist in Monticello, FL; she also worked at Barrington's Florist in Tallahassee.
At St. Rilla, she served in the Mothers and Deaconess Ministries and was a member of the Benevolent Committee. She also was the Secretary of Pallbearers Lodge No. 2. Treasuring her love and legacy are her children: Letitia (Robert) Baker, Leander (Linda) Barrington, Deborah (Peter) Henry, Bernard (Cynthia) Barrington, Wilbertine (Bobby) Scott, Priscilla (Carl) Henry and Nazareth "Mickey" (Lettie) Barrington; 30 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; siblings, Alberta W. Leonard, Ella W. Vickers and Willie P. (Flora) Williams; brothers-in-law, Eddie and William Barrington; and caregiver, Bernice Harris.
Other than her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her siblings, Joe, Davis, Green, Ralph, Jack and John Williams, Winifred Martin and Carrie Nickerson.
