Ruby Harrison Sellers
Ruby Harrison Sellers, born in Cairo, GA on December 12, 1932, peacefully passed away May 13, 2014.
Ruby had a love of decorating and designed window treatments for residents in Tallahassee and surrounding areas. She began her career in downtown Tallahassee with Gilberg's Fabric and worked many years with Gayfers. Prior to her retirement she was employed with Design and More.
Ruby was a charter member of Seminole Baptist Church, and attended Woodrun Baptist where she faithfully served. She later joined Riverside Baptist in Havana, as she continued to serve; until her Alzheimer's diagnosis and move to Gulf Breeze, Fl.
She was predeceased by her husband Bill Sellers, parents Council and Grace Harrison, four beloved siblings and five nephews.
She is survived by her son, Michael Sellers, wife Karrie; Havana, FL, daughter Wanda Coe, husband Jerry; Tallahassee, and daughter Karen Robertson, husband Allen; Gulf Breeze, Fl.
Ruby was loved by many for her generous loving spirit and she greatly loved her children, six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
The family wishes to express our deepest gratitude to her niece Diane Rackley Matthews, Caregivers of Woodmont; especially Cassonya and Jeraldine Raelyn. Emilee Bearden, Director of Woodmont, who all cared for our mother as their own.
Visitation will take place on Saturday, May 17th 2014, 11:00am at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, Timberlane Rd. with services to follow at 12:00pm.
