Joseph Clyde Bryan

Joseph Clyde Bryan (Joey), 57, of Wacissa, passed away June 15, 2014. He was a member of Wacissa Pentacostal Holiness Church, and Chief/President of Wacissa Volunteer Fire Rescue for many years, and employed by State of Florida Division of Corporations. Joey was devoted to his son and two grandsons, spending every opportunity with them.
He had a "green thumb" and could turn any shriveled stem into a thriving flower. Maker of the best sweet tea and cornbread, his cooking will be sorely missed. Joey routinely provided special care and attention to Eve, a half-sister who became disabled over 40 years ago. He was a model of strong work ethic, caring deeply that jobs were done well.
Joey lived a good and honest life; he was a good man and loved his Lord and his family. His legacy will live on through his descendents. Joey is survived by his son, Price Bryan; mother Annie Lou Giles; father Kenneth Bryan; siblings Bart (Teresa) Bryan, Lester Bryan, Dara (Randy) Barwick, Eve Bryan; precious grandchildren Cason and Reese Bryan; nieces and nephews Jill (Brian) Higgins, Sam (Alex) Martin, Brett Bryan, Jessica Bryan; Aunt Pat Hooker, dear family friend Richard Williams, many special and loving cousins and dear friends.
The service will be held Friday, June 20, 2014 at Wacissa Pentacostal Holiness church at 11:00 a.m. with visitation prior to service at 10:00 a.m. Memorials of flowers or contributions to Wacissa Volunteer Fire Rescue, P. O. Box 172, Wacissa, FL 32361.
