Rosa M. Conrad
Rosa M. Conrad passed away at Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare on Saturday, July 5, 2014. She was born on October 31, 1924 in Gadsden County (Glory Community) to the late Tim and Mary Etta Martin Taylor. She was an active member of Southwood Baptist Church since 1972. She retired from the Florida Department of Revenue.
Funeral services will be at Southwood Baptist Church on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at 11:00 am. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Private interment will be at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery, Gadsden County.
She is survived by her daughter, Rose Marie Worley (David) Tallahassee, FL; son, Edward Phillip Conrad (Winona) Sebring, FL; nephew (reared as son), James Clyde Roberts, Pensacola, FL; grandchildren, Mel, Michelle, Melissa, Paul, Randy; great grandchildren, Ashley, Jessie, Farrah, Niki, Caitlin, Kayli, Nathan, Jared, Mallory; her extended family, including those that she called her "other family," Sonny Hatcher (Deborah), Pat Shook (Richard), Joyce Byrd, Debra Lewis (John), and many who loved and knew her as Aunt Rose or Granny.
She was predeceased by her parents, Tim and Mary Etta Martin Taylor, her husband Edward Phillip Conrad, sisters Myrtis Taylor Allen Reed, Mary Lee Taylor Clark, and brother James W. Taylor.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Southwood Baptist Church, 5177 Capital Circle SW, Tallahassee, FL 32305 or the Lighthouse Children's Home, 7771 Mahan Drive, Tallahassee, FL 32317.
