Robert B. Lang

Robert B. Lang, 89, died peacefully Thursday July 3, 2014 at an Assisted Living Facility in Tallahassee where he had been a resident for the past two years. At his request there will be no funeral or final service.

He was a kind and gentle man who wanted little attention for himself and spent much of his time helping others. He was a long time member of the American Legion serving many years as a Commander or in other governing positions. Bob was a native of Cincinnati, Ohio and a long time resident of Daytona Beach before moving to Tallahassee in 2010.
He was a great and devoted patriot serving 22 years in the Army Air Corps during WWII and subsequent years in the Ohio National Guard and the Army Reserves obtaining the rank of Chief Warrant Officer.
He was predeceased by his wife Virginia and son David. He is survived by his sister; Doris Roy of Ohio; two daughters, Barbara Levins of Tallahassee and Carol Foster of South Carolina; 6 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and all who ever had the pleasure to meet him.

Bob had requested that in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to any worthy organization of your choice that provides help and assistance to veterans.
