Jorge and I both feel honored to have know Jim Kolner, through our brother-in-law Stuart. He was a very classy and elegant soul, with a good heart. Jorge especially enjoyed his stories of WWII. God bless you all. Margaret and Jorge Plasencia

Fran, Pam, Stuart and family: We loved Jim not only as a family member but also as a citizen, patriot, fellow engineer and example of strength of character and integrity. My descriptive summary would be "strong and straight".
GOING HOME

In the darkness after midnight,
While sailing far at sea
I've seen the loom of a distant light
That spelled out home to me.

And though the sun is sinking now
And painting heaven's dome
I see the shining evening star
That points the way to home.

And those who set course by this star
Know that their track is true.
And if the harbor's near or far
This star will see them through.

Then when we reach the last harbor
And put our anchor down,
We'll leave our ship and step ashore
And reach celestial ground.

And when we see Love face-to-face
In brilliance like the sun,
We'll understand our journey here
And the race we had to run.

And thank Him for each weary step,
And each exultant day,
Each joy and sorrow that we knew,
And friends along the way.

I knew Mr. Kolner when I worked in the Parry center of Westminster Oaks and also in the healthcenter when he moved there. He was such a gentleman and always so polite and nice even in times of illness.I am glad to have gotten to know him. May his memory be a blessing.

Dinner a few years ago in St. Pete. Such a fun evening.

“So long as we live, they too shall live
For they are now a part of us as
We remember them”
I know you have many, many fond memories of your Father, as we all do. I pray those memories will console you and your family.
