Rudolph Hornsby, 63, passed unexpectedly on Thurs. Nov. 1 in Tallahassee. Funeral services will be held 11AM, Sat. Nov. 10 at Bethlehem Temple Church of God in Christ in Bellwood, Alabama. Burial will follow at Mt. Moriah cemetery in Bellwood. On Nov. 15, 1948, Mr. Rudolph "Rudy" Hornsby was born to Elnor Sconyers Hornsby and James Hornsby in Bellwood, Alabama.Rudy attended Bellwood High School, and upon graduation joined the Job Corp to obtain additional training. Rudy subsequently moved to Chicago, Illinois where he met and married his wife, Marlene, who preceded him in death. A deep thinker, Rudy loved to read. He was known by family and friends as a quite person who spoke his mind with care & respect for others.On his passing, he leaves to cherish his memory: four children: daughter:Aurelia Hornsby Yoho (John)of Sharpsville, Pennsylvania; sons: Rudolph Hornsby (Felecia); James Hornsby, & Gary Hornsby all of Las Vegas, Nevada; brother: Shelly Hornsby of Bellwood, Alabama; sisters: Evelyn Hornsby of Bellwood, Alabama, Carolyn Holloway of Tallahassee, Florida, Phelicia Stiell of Tallahassee, Florida, Patricia Williams (Johnathan) of Birmingham, Alabama and Rusheda Adeshina (Babatunde) of Pooler, Georgia; aunts: Annie Mae Broxton of Chicago, Illinois, Mary Christine Banks of Newark, New Jersey and Vedora Sconyers of Chicago, Illinois; & a host of nieces,nephews, other relatives & friends.He was preceded in death by his mother and father, wife, brothers: James Hornsby & Travis Hornsby; sister: Janice Hornsby
