Carl Edward Sizemore, 82, of Tallahassee, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2013 in Tallahassee. He is survived by his wife of 58 years Jean Sizemore.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., EDT, Tuesday, March 12th at Aenon Baptist Church on Blountstown Highway in Tallahassee. Burial, with military honors will follow at Tallahassee Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Monday, March 11, 2013 at Bevis Funeral Home in Tallahassee (850/385-2193 or www.bevisfh.com).
Gifts in memory of Mr. Sizemore may be made to Big Bend Hospice, 1723 Mahan Center Blvd., Tallahassee, FL 32308; or to the Alzheimer's Project of Tallahassee, 301 East Tharpe Street, Tallahassee, FL 32303.
Mr. Sizemore was a native of Gauley Bridge, West Virginia and moved from there to Tallahassee in 1964.He was retired as a customer service representative with National Linen Service, and was a veteran of the United States Air Force.He was also a member of Aenon Baptist Church, where he served as Deacon. An avid fisherman, he found great love and joy in his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Other survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Becky Eppes and Nick Eppes, Jr. of Tallahassee; his son, Stephen Sizemore, also of Tallahassee; his brother, Roscoe Sizemore (Wilsie) of Gauley Bridge; and two sisters, Madeline Blake and Thelma Thomas, both of Gauley Bridge.Also surviving are three grandchildren, Nick Eppes, III (Staci), Lindsey Eppes and Megan Barnes (Tim); and three great-grandchildren, Hanna and Leah Eppes and Noah Barnes.
