Maggie L. Walker
Mother Maggie Lou Walker, 93, of Tallahassee, FL went Home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, March 25, 2013. Services are 2 p.m. Saturday at Bethelonia A.M.E. Church, 8437 Meridian Road, Tallahassee, FL 32312. Burial will follow at Floyd Chapel Cemetery. Viewing-visitation is 3-7 p.m. Friday at TILLMAN OF TALLAHASSEE 850-942-1950.Born in Campbellton, FL, Mother Walker was the widow of Primitive Baptist Elder Elie Walker, Sr. A devout member of Brown Bethel Primitive Baptist Church, she was a homemaker who loved cooking and sewing. Survivors include her daughters, Marjorie Walker, Mae Evelyn Taylor, Cora (Robert) Sears, Pinkie (Jerome) Hendley and Ruby (Benjamin) Garrison; sons, Frazier Walker, Chriss (Deborah) Walker, Tony White and Elie Walker, Jr.; son-in-law, Jerry Heads; 30 grandchildren; 54 great grandchildren; 18 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.Other than her husband, she was also predeceased by her daughter, Barbara Heads; her parents, Abner and Cora Thomas Knox; 12 siblings and four grandchildren.
