Richard Wayne Nicholson
Richard Wayne Nicholson 63 of Sopchoppy, Fla. passed away on June 4, 2013 after a long illness. He died peacefully, surrounded by his family. Richard proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps.He worked as a contractor and held a Florida register contractor license, as well as a certified home inspector license.
Richard was a family man and treasured the moments he spent with his family. Before his illness with cancer, he loved the outdoors as he was an avid fisherman and enjoyed going camping and spending time with his family.Richard leaves behind special memories with the woodworking projects he had so much enjoyed making for his family and friends.
Richard was born to Mary Nicholson and the late Elex Z. Nicholson on September 15, 1949. He will forever be remembered by his devoted wife: Hannah Harrell, his three children, Tracy (Mark) Locke of Houston, Tex. Brett Nicholson of Houston, Tex. Megan Nicholson of Tallahassee, Fla. and three step-children, Rita Sadler (Chris), Lola Pouncey, and Jimmie Harrell (Lenae) of Crawfordville, Fla., his brother, Raymond Lee Nicholson (Mary) of Athens Tex. And his treasured grandchildren Libbie Stroud, Jessica Martin, Justin Harrell, Tyler Pouncey, Jennifer Sadler, Dayton Sadler, and two great grandchildren Madison Martin and Holden Stroud.
Family will receive friends Friday June 7, 2013 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Bevis Funeral Home Harvey Young Chapel in Crawfordville. Services will be held Saturday June 8, 2013 at Panacea Full Gospel Assembly Church at 11:00 A.M. Burial will follow at Bonnett Pond Cemetery.
