Lorraine A Prim

Lorraine A Prim, age 94, died on June 16, 2013. She was born in Ironwood, Michigan on April 25, 1919. She was the longest lived child of Frank and Pauline Miller who had four children, Robert, Elmer, Lorraine and Margaret. She married the late Richard Hall Prim a naval pilot in Chicago. They had three daughters: Paula who died at birth, Pam and Ann. She spent the first half of her married life raising her family. She later worked for their family aviation business in Sarasota and retired from Avis Rent-a -Car. She moved to Tallahassee in 1990 and was a member of Tallahassee Heights United Methodist Church. She volunteered for years at Capital Regional Medical Center and was a prolific knitter making hundreds of blankets for newborns and the elderly. She spent the last seven years at Westminster Oaks receiving the finest care possible. She is survived by daughters Pam McVety (Bob) of Tallahassee and Ann Prim of St. Paul, grandchildren Hannah McVety Nalls (Ryan) and Nhan Nguyen (Jennifer), and great-grandchildren Thatcher Nalls and Nicholas, Matthew, and Cathleen Nguyen. A memorial service will be held in the Maguire Center at Westminster Oaks on Thursday June 20, 2013 at 3:00 pm.
