Mother Hesterine Williams Floyd, 89, of Tallahassee, FL went Home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 11, 2013.Funeral services are 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Bethelonia A.M.E. Church, Tallahassee, with burial at Centenary Church Cemetery. Viewing-visitation is Friday 3-7:30 p.m. at TILLMAN OF TALLAHASSEE 850-942-1950. A devoted homemaker and retired cook, she was a loyal member of Centenary for 75 years, serving as a missionary, stewardess and choir member.Mother Floyd leaves to cherish precious memories three sons, Roosevelt (Millie) Bentley, James (Tommie) Floyd and Jim (Dessie) Floyd, Jr.; five daughters, Dosha Bentley, Ozell Williams, Reverend Jimmie (John) Dickey, Rebecca (George) Watts and Mary Ann Floyd; one step-son, Alfred (Mary) Hill; one step-daughter, Joyce Bentley; 36 grand, 85 great-grand and 26 great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.She was predeceased by her husband, Jim Floyd, Sr.; parents, Allen and Doshan Sims Williams; and all 17 of her siblings.
