On Tuesday, November 19, 2013, a long Christ-like life came to its close when Mother Lizzie Beth Bellamy Riggins, 97, answered her Master's call.
A lifelong resident of Monticello, she was a homemaker and a devoted member of Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church where her funeral will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. Viewing-visitation is 3-7:30 p.m. Friday at TILLMAN OF MONTICELLO 850-997-5553. Mother Riggins' precious love and memory will live forever in the hearts of her daughters, Ollie Mae Benjamin and Elizabeth Dobson; sons, Charlie James (Ellen) Riggins, Sr. and Paul Johnson; daughter-in-law, Rosa L. Riggins; sister-in-law, Annie Mae Bellamy; her best friend and lifelong neighbor, who was like a sister, 99-year-old Mrs. Essie Mae Thompson; 38 grandchildren; 62 great-grandchildren and 43 great-great grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends.
She was predeceased by her husband, Sam and children, Earlene Williams, Johnny Lee Riggins and Mary Jane Riggins.
