Willie C. Hawkins
Willie C. Hawkins, 58, passed away on his birthday at home in Monticello on Sunday, April 27, 2014.
Funeral services are 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Welaunee Missionary Baptist Church with military burial in Welaunee Cemetery. Viewing-visitation is 3-7:30 p.m. Friday at TILLMAN OF MONTICELLO 850-997-5553. A Monticello native, he was a 1975 graduate of Jefferson County High School and a U.S. Army veteran.
Prior to becoming disabled, he worked for CSX Railroad. Survivors include his son, Derrick Shawn Simmons; mother, Clara Mae Campbell Hawkins; sisters, Alice M. (Minister Calvin) Wallace; Rosa Thomas, Geraldine (Arthur Jr.) Ingram, Emma and Earlene Hawkins; brothers, Cornelius "C J" (Mozell) Hawkins, Jr., James and Gregory Hawkins; one grandchild and numerous other loving relatives and friends.
His father, Cornelius J. "C J" Hawkins, Sr., predeceased him.
