David Renard Arnold

David Renard Arnold, 28, died Sunday June 1, 2014. Memorial service will be Thursday June 5, 2014 at 11 AM till 12:00 (Noon) at Strong & Jones Chapel.

Survivors include, his wife, Annette D. Arnold; his parents, Randy and Sharion Arnold; two brothers, Randy Arnold Jr. and Stephen Arnold; two sisters, Sharan Cohen (James) and Shenece Arnold; his grandmother, Rosa Mae Arnold.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Shanay Lastar Arnold.

I miss you greatly my friend. It is hard to believe that one year has passed since you peacefully went to sleep. Even though you're not here physically, I know that you are here in the spirit and when I walk that stage to accept my Associates Degree, I know that you will be right beside me!
As I told you in life, I shall repeat the same words now that your are gone that "I love you". You were truly my friend and "college" husband (as our Honors classmates would call us). I saw many flashes of lightening in the sky this week, I know that was you David, taking your famous "selfies".

To the Arnold family, let me first start off by saying you all have my deepest condolences. I met David in the fall of 2013 in the Honors program at CCP, it was a joy to be blessed with his presence, from the moment I met him he brought nothing but joy into my life. When I was going through a hard time David told me to pick my head up and keep pushing through it because God had better things in store for me. I cannot count how many times me, David and D'Chén would be in the hallway taking pictures... I love David unconditionally I am so sad to see him go, before he left Philadelphia I went to the hospital to see him and I'm glad I did because I was able to let him know I loved him face to face, words cannot explain the pain I feel and know his family must feel, however heaven has an angel now.....I love you David

Upon hearing of David's passing, i instantly felt a loss. We met at the Community College of Philadelphia and have been double trouble every since. The Honors classes we were enrolled in couldnt keep us from talking & taking selfies! Im glad i got to speak to my friend before he left Philly and went back home to florida as well as once a week while he was in the hospital. I will miss your smile my friend & the good times we shated. Most of all, I will ALWAYS remember that you called me "sunshine" & would start singing " i got sunshine on a cloudy day"everytime i called...your resting comfortably now, David...Sleep tight my friend...
